Can I still use my European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)?

UK-registered European Health Insurance Cards (EHICs) remain valid until their expiry date. Following expiry, EHICs should be replaced by a new UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) which will operate in a similar way, giving you the right to access state-provided healthcare while on holiday in the EU.
